Tektronix

The Tektronix Foundation has provided charitable support to the community since 1952. It is a private foundation funded each year with a portion of the Company's profit. It is not an "endowed" foundation, which means it has no capital fund that produces investment earnings to fund contributions. The Tektronix Board of Directors determines the annual funding level.

The primary goals of the Foundation are to support education, social and human services, the arts, and conservation. The Foundation has been a long-time supporter of the United Way, Saturday Academy, Start Making A Reader Today, Oregon Museum of Science and Industry and SOLV, to name a few.

The Foundation also supports engineering and business programs at Oregon State University, Portland State University and the University of Oregon. Tektronix also supports numerous educational institutions through equipment donations.

The Foundation offers a matching gifts program to US-based employees and retirees of Tektronix. The Matching Gift Program provides Tektronix employees the opportunity to have their charitable donations (to their favorite K-12 through post-graduate schools, tax exempt arts organizations and certain social/human services and conservation groups) matched by the Tektronix Foundation.

Because Foundation funds are limited, it is Foundation policy to actively select the projects that are funded and therefore unsolicited proposals are not accepted from individuals or organizations.
